My Chinese Restaurant Collections I

Being in Atlanta for more than three years, I feel almost justified to put down a part of my Chinese restaurant collection list here.

1 Bo Bo Garden 煲煲好

Lobsters, and authentic stone bowl rice are must try. Apart from that, they almost always provide good authentic Cantonese food. Every one would have a good time, since their cuisines tend to be sweet, and not hot.

2 Gu's Bistro (Closed for now) 渝蓉和 (CLOSED)

Spicy Alert!! Solid Si-chuan style food(川菜). They are only open for dinner time, and prepare to wait for 45 minutes if you don't reserve. Gu's Bistro is a paradise for people who love spicy food. Their price is more to the high end. Unfortunately, they are closed at the Buford Highway location, and will reopen in downtown area.

3 Royal China 金冠酒楼

Definitely go there at dinner time. It has nice ambience and solid family dishes. I personally enjoy their novelty dishes and seasonal dishes. Really, skip all the ordinary fish and beef and adventure to some other meat, such as peking duck, chicken feet, you will thank me late. Trying their dim-sum is still on my to-do list.

4 China Village Restaurant 大东北

Most of my friends who came from Northeast of China rave for this place! It is a family restaurant, a mom and pop combination. The price is good, quality is great and the portion is generous. I always order braised chicken with mushroom before everything.

Hands down, best Chinese barbecue place in town. No matter how you choose the way they cook chicken or duck, it is guaranteed that they will be juicy and tender.

More like a cheaper version of Gu's Bistro. Service may not be so good and attentive. But if you don't care much about how they serve you, it could be a good alternative since Gu's Bistro has been closed for now. They used to have one ITP, but that one was not doing well and was closed.

My list just need a Taiwanese restaurant to balance. Except for delicious grilled meat and seafood, I found myself missing their oyster omelette(珂仔酥) a lot. However, since it's also a family restaurant, it is a pain to wait for dishes.
