Let's Grab a Cup of Coffee

Weekends are always good time to hop on coffee shops. So follow me, and jump onto any one of them, you'll get your caffein fixed. Who wants to go to Starbucks if you have those choices.

1 Octane

Address: 1009 Marietta Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
Phone: 404-815-9886
Website: http://octanecoffee.com/
Hands down, best coffee in town. Their barista actually won the national coffee roasting competition.  They also sell King of Pops and other pastries. Parking of the one that is close to Georgia Tech is really tough, more than likely, you need to park somewhere else. There's a new Octane in Buckhead!

2 Condesa Coffee

Address: 480 John Wesley Dobbs Ave, Ste 100, Atlanta, GA 30312
Phone: 404-524-5054
Website: http://condesacoffee.com/
Condesa is also a contender for the best coffee. Great customer services, pastries from Alon's market, and free board games. You can also get cocktails, beers and wines like Octane. It's just too far away from me...

3 Rev Coffee

Address: 1680 Spring Rd Ste B, Smyrna, GA 30080
Phone: 770-573-4434
Website: http://www.revcoffee.com/#brewing-in-the-suburbs-yall
It is odd that I would put an OTP coffee shop in number three. But Rev Coffee well deserves this spot. The Smyrna coffee shop has more coffee drink varieties than Octane, and in a good way. They also have more than 10 kinds of tea. When I saw the barista taking out Chemex to do one pour-over, I totally fall in love with this place. You barely see baristas using Chemex without charing extra fees.

4 Dancing Goats Coffee Bar

Address: 650 N Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30308
Phone 404-874-0370
Website: http://www.batdorfcoffee.com/
Dancing Goats also has two locations, one on North Avenue, the other near Emory. I prefer the North Avenue one, not only because they serve better coffee and have better ingredients (chocolate from cocao for mocha!), but also the place is bigger and unique. Thing could also get very hectic around the Emory one. I have waited half an hour for ONE Cappuccino in a busy Sunday afternoon.

5 Chattanooche Coffee Company

Address: 6640 Akers Mill Rd SE Atlanta, GA, 30339
Phone: 770-955-0788
Website: http://www.chattahoocheecoffee.com/
It could be on the higher rank if they are open to public on weekends for the riverside location. Seriously, this coffee shop is ridiculous since most of people only get time at weekends. Anyway, their coffee is still good, with nice latte arts, and great views. Maybe time to try the new location, the Westside.

6 Lands of a Thousand Hills Coffee Shop

Address: 352 S Atlanta St Roswell, GA 30075
Phone: 770-645-1149
Website: http://www.drinkcoffeedogoodroswell.com/
After the makeover, I kinda feel the coffee quality went down. Before, they had some innovations about coffee drinks, and good vibes. But then everything goes to the modern style. They do help Rwanda farmers to get decent trades and educations for kids. I loved Razzle Dazzle, but it's officially gone. Their pour-over is just okay.

7 Orange Coffee Bar

Address: 3473 Old Norcross Rd Ste 106 Duluth GA 30096
Orange Coffee is more about getting pour-overs with great single origin coffee beans($5). You can also get Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee for $15.  Well, it is overpriced for sure, but they are damn good. Also, since it's a Korean coffee shop, try Honey bread or shave ice cantaloupe as a dessert or a side. It can easily fulfill your stomach.

The list is not exhaustive to all the coffee shops. I still left out some new ones, and some old ones. Maybe I revisit later.
